Three Wolverines named to IWLCA Division III Academic Honor Roll

DOVER, Del. – Three Wesley College women's lacrosse players were named to the 2017 Zag Sports Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Division III Academic Honor Roll, which was announced on Wednesday.

Seniors Allison Perugini and Kaitlin Brennan and rising senior Alexis Galloway were among the 532 student-athletes from 159 different institutions to make the IWLCA Honor Roll list. To be eligible for this honor, student-athletes must be a junior, senior, or graduate student and have earned a cumulative academic GPA of 3.50 or greater.

Perugini and Brennan were senior captains for the Wolverines in 2017. Perugini totaled nine points with five goals and four assists. Perugini also picked up 15 ground balls, four draw controls and caused three turnovers. Brennan notched five ground balls, along with two goals and two assists on the year in four games before suffering an injury early on in her senior season.

Perugini and Brennan both graduated from Wesley in May. Perugini carried a 3.95 grade-point average while majoring in psychology with a minor in criminal justice. Brennan studied nursing at Wesley while receiving a 3.79 grade-point average.

Galloway made two appearances with a start in 2017 before an injury ended her junior campaign. Galloway has a 3.55 grade-point average while majoring in psychology.
