Women’s lacrosse stumbles at Marymount

ARLINGTON, Va. – The Wesley College women's lacrosse team stumbled on the road, 17-3 in a Capital Athletic Conference matchup with the Marymount Saints.

Brianna Bacon tallied her 21st and 22nd goals of the season in the first half while Stacey O'Neale found the back of the net for the fourth time with a marker in the second half.

On defense, Rileigh Cypher scooped up three ground balls and caused two turnovers.

Tiaziah Wright and Paige Brehm won three draw controls apiece. Wright also scooped up two ground balls.

Shelby Schirmer tallied 11 saves in net.

The Wolverines will be back in action on Friday when they host the Southern Virginia Knights as part of the Dave Reynolds Lacrosse Festival. The opening draw is set for 5 p.m. with the Wolverines honoring their five seniors prior to the game.
