Women's Lacrosse battles in close road contest to Lancaster Bible

LANCASTER, Pa. – The Wesley College women's lacrosse team fought hard but couldn't battle back late to Lancaster Bible, falling to the Chargers 16-12 on the road on Saturday.

Paige Brehm put away four first-half goals. Brianna Bacon also notched four goals for Wesley. Bacon added an assist on one of Brehm's goal early in the first half and five draw controls. Kaila Hindt notched a hat-trick in her first action of the season.

Kassie Dieter recorded a goal and an assist with three draw controls and two caused turnovers. Kathleen Martin added an assist in the first half.

On defense, Andrea Lopez Herrera and Taylor Speicher scooped up a pair of ground balls. Lopez Herrera, Brehm, Hint and Emily Caldarelli each caused a turnover.

Maria Rowland made six saves in 31 minutes in net for Wesley. Emily Magness came in relief for Rowland in the final 28 minutes of the game and recorded three saves.

Hannah Thompson and Raegan Horst combined for 14 of 16 Lancaster Bible goals.

Wesley (5-3) wraps up their two-game road swing on Wednesday when they take on the Rutgers-Camden Scarlet Raptors.
