Brehm surpasses 100 career goals in loss to Immaculata

IMMACULATA, Pa. – The Wesley College women's lacrosse team suffered an 18-9 defeat to the Immaculata Mighty Macs in Atlantic East Conference action on Saturday.

Paige Brehm notched five goals, four of which came in the first half, to become the sixth member of Wesley's 100-career goals club. Brehm also recorded six draw controls, three ground balls and a caused turnover.

Kassie Dieter registered a pair of goals and an assist with two draw controls. Brianna Bacon tallied assists on two of Brehm's goals in the first half and added an unassisted goal in the second half. Bacon secured three draw controls and scooped up a ground ball. Kaila Hindt registered six draw controls, three ground balls, two caused turnovers and a second-half goal.

Emily Caldarelli paced the Wesley defense with a team-high three caused turnovers with three ground balls. Andrea Lopez Herrera, Kathleen Martin and Brittany Bishop each caused a turnover on defense.

In goal, Maria Rowland stopped 12 shots and caused a pair of turnovers in the loss.

Maura Murray led the Mighty Macs with five goals and three assists.

Wesley (5-5, 0-2 Atlantic East) will be back at home on Wednesday when they host the Cabrini Cavaliers in a conference showdown. The game is set to start at 5:30 p.m. Prior to the game, Wesley will honor their two indoor track & field national champions, Kai Cole and Evelina Sloboh.
