Bacon, Dieter pace women's lacrosse at Marywood

SCRANTON, Pa. – The Wesley College women's lacrosse team fell 21-5 to the Marywood Pacers in Atlantic East Conference action on the road on Saturday.

Kassie Dieter and Brianna Bacon each registered a pair of goals on three shots to pace the Wesley offense. Dieter added six draw controls while Taylor Speicher chipped in with an unassisted goal in the first half.

Emily Caldarelli notched a game-best eight ground balls with three caused turnovers. Paige Brehm caused two turnovers, scooped up two ground balls and assisted on Dieter's first goal in the second half. Kaila Hindt helped out on Bacon's goal in the first half and caused a turnover.

Kathleen Martin reeled in two ground balls while Andrea Lopez Herrera tallied a caused turnover on defense. In net, Maria Rowland recorded six saves and two ground balls.

Gwyneth Gleason led Marywood with four goals in the win.

Wesley will play their final road contest of the season on Wednesday, April 17 when they travel to Aston, Pa. to take on the Neumann Knights in a conference contest. The game is set for a 4 p.m. start.
