Women's Lacrosse Stopped by Manhattanville

Dover, Del. – Wesley Women's Lacrosse streak was broken by Manhattanville Wednesday afternoon as they lost the contest 8-19.

Manhatanville's offense took control early on as four consecutive goals would pressure the Wolverines to get on the board. Kassie Dieter scored the Wolverines first goal assisted by Lindsey Lurz to make it a 4-1 game. 

Wesley's last goal of the first half would come from Lurz (unassisted).

Manhattanville scored 11 more goals to Wesley's two going into the half leading 15-2.

The Wolverines came back from the break with a fire lit inside as Dieter opened up the second half. The team pulled off six goals, three off of free position shots, the second half but that was not enough as the team dropped their fifth match of the season 8-19.

Lindsey Lurz and Kassie Dieter led the Wolverines netting three goals each. Margaret Johnson won six draw controls while grabbing five ground balls. Kaila Hindt found five ground balls of her own in the loss.

Emily Caldarelli continued to lead the team in caused turnover with four.

The team heads to Goucher on Saturday for a 1:00 p.m. draw.
