DOVER, Del. - Lebanon Valley scored twice in the opening 13:22 and held on for a 2-1 win over Wesley College in women's soccer action.
Kylee Zeisloft scored the opening goal just 5:18 in with an assist from Jenny DiMauro. Just over eight minutes later, Ely Kirkhoff found the back of the net and the Dutchmen (9-5-2) led 2-0 at the half.
Wesley (7-9), who was able to muster just three shots the entire first half, struck quickly in the second half. Sara Gergen scored off a corner by Amanda Horkey at 51:19.
It was the defender's first career score.
The Wolverines were unable to tie the game as seven shots during the remainder of the game were wide or saved by Alyson Reitmeyer, who stopped four on the evening.
Kim Fearnbach made five saves for Wesley.
Wesley outshot Lebanon Valley 13-11.
The Wolverines will look to rebound in their final home game of 2008 against York (Pa.) on Saturday, October 25 at 1:00 PM.
