Record Student-Athletes Fare Well In Classroom

DOVER, Del. – Wesley College would like to congratulate a record 127 student-athletes (36%) who tallied at least a 3.0 grade-point-average for the Fall 2011 semester.  Of the 352 total student-athletes at Wesley, eight recorded a perfect 4.0 GPA while 62 others made the Dean's List by accumulating at least a 3.33 grade-point-average.

Of the 20 NCAA Division III teams at Wesley, the women's cross country team recorded a 3.24 Team GPA to lead all programs while the men's cross country team paced the men's sports with a 2.96 aggregate grade-point-average.  The women's soccer team (3.22), volleyball (3.19) and field hockey (3.00) teams also tallied at least a 3.0 GPA as a team.
