  • Wesley Holds 2012-13 Senior Honors Banquet

    Sosthene Kapepula of the football team was named the Wesley College Male Athlete of the Year while field hockey/golf's Madison Leone and five-sport athlete Tristin Burris shared Female Athlete of the Year honors, it was announced at the Annual Senior Honors Banquet held at the Outdoor Amphitheater on campus Wednesday night.

    In recognition of being one of just 11 schools across all NCAA divisions to earn the National Soccer Coaches Association of America Gold Award for team ethics, the Wesley College women's soccer team enjoyed a night and dessert with President William N. Johnston, and his wife Susan, at their home on Tuesday night.

    Wesley College’s Chelsi Biener and Kelly Edmunds were both named to All-Capital Athletic Conference Teams, it was announced by the league office on Thursday afternoon. Both Biener and Edmunds received second team recognition for the first time in their career.

    Sophomore Chelsi Biener scored two goals as Wesley College’s women’s soccer team shutout Cedar Crest College, 4-0, on Friday night at Scott D. Miller Stadium in the season opener for both teams. Her multi-goal effort was the second of her career, with the first coming against Valley Forge Christian on September 26, 2011.

    DOVER, Del. - Membership in Wesley College’s Athletic Hall of Fame will expand from 96 to 110 when 14 newly-elected members are inducted in a ceremony on Homecoming Weekend on October 12 at the Schwartz Center for the Arts.
