DOVER, Del. - Senior Sydney Kahan was sensational again in goal for the Wesley College women's soccer team as the Wolverines battled DeSales University to a scoreless tie on Saturday night at Scott D. Miller Stadium.
Kahan stopped all six Bulldogs shots that were on target including two crucial saves in the overtime periods. Additionally, freshman Kerri Pagels played exceptional defense against the speedy Bulldogs, making one defensive play after the next to keep alot of pressure off of her goalkeeper.
Despite with the being outshot, 14-7, Wesley arguably had two of the better scoring chances on the night. Sophomore Kelly Edmunds had a great opportunity in the 39th minute of the match, but her shot sailed just over the crossbar. Late in the second half, Chelsi Biener was just wide on another.
Wesley returns to action tomorrow night at 6 pm against St Elizabeth at Scott D. Miller Stadium.
