Women's Soccer Falls To Undefeated Goucher

TOWSON, Md. - Wesley College's women's soccer team dropped a 1-0 decision at Goucher College on Wednesday night at Beldon Field.  The Gophers remain undefeated at 7-0 while the Wolverines fall to 5-3-1.

In what was quite the defensive battle, Goucher was able to score the game's only goal with 8:42 left in regulation.  The Gophers outshot Wesley, 10-6, for the match, and 7-1 in the second half.

Sydney Kahan stopped five shots on the night for the Wolverines, including a big fingertip save in the 76th minute that forced a corner kick.

Freshman Kerri Pagels and Karysa Pikoulas both took a pair of shots for the Navy & White.

The Wolverines return home when they host Capital Athletic Conference rival St. Mary's (Md.) on Saturday, September 22 at 1 pm.
