DOVER, Del. – Eight different players scored a goal as the Wesley College women's soccer team defeated Trinity (D.C.), 10-0, on Monday night at Scott D. Miller Stadium.  The Wolverines improve to 1-0-1 on the year while the Tigers fall in their season opener.

Karysa Pikoulas tallied the game's first two goals at 12:30 and 14:32 to give Wesley a 2-0 lead, an advantage they would never relinquish.  She later assisted on a score by Chelsi Biener, who also scored two goals and assisted on goals by Morgan Warrington (1g, 1a) at 22:30 and Christina Verzi (1g, 1a) at 57:40.

Becara Dalton and Kristen Griffith tallied the first points of their careers as Dalton assisted on a goal by Megan DeFalco at 50:32 while Griffith found the back of the net on a nifty give-and-go with Brooke Cicale (1a, 1a).

Becky Battistelli started in goal for the Tigers and made six saves in the opening 45 minutes while Eboni Hibbert allowed just two goals while stopping seven shots in the second half.

Wesley is back in action on Thursday, September 5, when they travel to take on Cairn in a 4:30 pm start.
