DOVER, DEL. – The Wesley College women's soccer team fell to Swarthmore College 5-0 Saturday evening at Scott D. Miller Stadium.
The Wolverines now stands at 2-1-1 overall while the Garnet improve to 3-1.
Swarthmore took a 2-0 lead into the break after Emma Sindelar and Rebecca Mayeda each scored. The Garnet controlled the ball most of the first half, holding a shooting advantage of 10-1. In the second half, Swarthmore added three strikes, scoring two in the final five minutes. They led in shots, 24-6.
Samantha Brannigan collected a season-high 10 saves. Reba Magier had one save for the Garnet.
Wesley returns to the pitch September 10th when they travel to Valley Forge Christian. Game time is set for 4:30 p.m.
