DOVER, DEL. – The Wesley College women's soccer team fell to Marymount University, 2-1 Friday evening at Scott D. Miller Stadium.
The Saints improve to 4-5 while Wolverines falls to 4-6-1.
Wesley got on the board first, scoring at the 20:20 mark, when Kerri Pagels launched a deep ball from the 50 yard line. The perfectly placed ball skipped over a Saints defender before Karysa Pikoulas headed it over the keeper's hands and into the back of the net.
The Saints scored twice in the second half, once from Kirsten Campbell and the other from Jillian Goldstein.
April Westmark had eight saves in goal for Marymount while Morgan Warrington garnered two in the net for the Wolverines.
Wesley returns to the pitch October 9th when they host Mary Washington. Game time is set for 7:30 p.m.
