DOVER, Del. – Wesley College's women's soccer team fell to Mary Washington, 3-0, in a Capital Athletic Conference matchup on Wednesday night at Scott D. Miller Stadium. The Wolverines now stand at 4-7-1 overall and 0-3 in the CAC while the Eagles even their record at 6-6 with a 1-2 mark in league play.
Mary Washington tallied all three of its goals in the first 15 minutes with the game-winner coming 45 seconds in off the foot of Lizzie Weast.
Despite the waterlogged conditions, Samantha Brannigan made a career-high 15 saves for Wesley. Fine performances were also turned in by freshman forwards Keri Kenna and Kristen Griffith, along with midfielders Brooke Thompson, Samantha Barker and Natalie Trujillo.
Alyssa Goodwin got the win in goal for the Eagles, making three saves in just over 58 minutes of play.
The Wolverines host St. Mary's on Saturday, October 12 at 7:30 pm.
