FREDERICKSBURG, Va. - The Wesley College Women's Soccer team was outshot 31-3 on the day, and managed just one shot on goal as the Mary Washington Eagles earned a 7-0 on Saturday afternoon.
Sam Brannigan made seven saves in just over 67 minutes, while Amanda Deputy added three saves in the final 23 minutes. Janiah Moore registered the team's only shot on goal, playing at the top of the formation for the Wolverines.
The Navy and White battled throughout the game, but trailed 3-0 after 45 minutes. Mary Washington did not let up in the second half, piling on four more scores, including three in the final 25 minutes.
The Wolverines fall to 4-10-1 on the season with an 0-8 mark in conference play. The team will travel to CAC opponent Salisbury University on Wednesday, Oct. 26.
