DOVER, Del. - For the second consecutive season, Wesley College Women's Soccer senior Natalie Trujillo was named to the College Sports Information Directors' Association Academic All-District Team. The 2016 CoSIDA Academic All-District™ Teams recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances athletically and in the classroom.
The Wesley defender earned CoSIDA Academic All-District honors again this season, posting a cumulative GPA of 3.98 over her academic career as a member of Wesley College's rigorous nursing program.
She has played a crucial role in the Wesley defense as a captain and leader on the field, helping the team to five shutouts this season. During the season, Trujillo and the Wesley defense limited opposing offenses without a goal for 425:00 consecutive minutes, earning a 3-0-1 record in four complete games over that time period. Trujillo was one of only two student-athletes from the Capital Athletic Conference to earn the honor.
First-team Academic All-District™ honorees advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America® Team ballot, where first-, second- and third-team All-America honorees will be selected later this month.
