BALTIMORE, Md.- The Wesley College women's soccer team played to a 2-2 draw with the Goucher Gophers on Tuesday.
Goucher would get on the board first with an early goal only seven minutes into the game. Wesley would battle back as 25 minutes later when Janiah Moore tied the game at one in the 32nd minute when Aleya Cummings crossed it to Moore who lofted in over the Goucher goalkeeper.
Moore would find the back of the net for the second time early in the second half with a long assist from Lauren O'Sullivan to give the Wolverines the 2-1 lead.
Goucher's Theresa Antkowiak would tie it up late in the 82nd minute that would eventually send the game into overtime.
Goucher pushed the Wesley defense in the two overtime periods but the Wolverines would hold off the Gopher attack to preserve the draw.
Krista Salvadore tallied 21 saves in net for the Wolverines.
The Wolverines (2-1-1) are back in action Saturday when they host the Widener Pride at Drass Field at Scott D. Miller Stadium. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
