Four second-half goals propel women’s soccer over Rosemont

ROSEMONT, Pa. – Four second-half goals powered the Wesley College women's soccer team over the Rosemont Ravens, 5-2 on Thursday.

Emily Caldarelli got the game going with a goal in the first minute of the game.

Jada Simon registered her second goal of the season in the 47th minute of the game off a free kick. Rosemont cut into the Wesley lead in the 68th minute when Maciana Mazzeo converted a penalty shot.

Two minutes later, Mackenzie Forsythe put Wesley back up two goals with her fifth goal of the year off an assist from Caldarelli.

Both teams traded goals late in the game. In the 79th minute, Lauren O'Sullivan notched her second goal of the season off a feed from Amanda Moccaldi. Rosemont's Emily Johnson would score 15 seconds later. Less than a minute after Rosemont's goal, Caldarellu would net her second goal of the game off an assist from Kelsey Fitzpatrick.

Emily Magness and Kiyanna Gill split time in net for the Wolverines. Magness recorded four saves while Gill stopped a pair of shots.

Wesley (5-2-1) will begin Atlantic East Conference play on Wednesday, Oct. 3 when they travel to Radnor, Pa. to take on the Cabrini Cavaliers. Game time from Dixon Field is set for 7 p.m.
