This goal will be her first goal of the season, assisted by Emily Caldarelli. The 1-0 lead would last the rest of the game as the defense put up a good fight against the Nittany Lions.

Welsey took the lead in shots going 9-2 over PSBW. Emily Caldarelli and Mackenzie Forsythe both with three shots, Bailey D'Amico, Sarah Morgan and Kaitlyn Roazzi all had one shot aiding to the 9-2 shot lead.

"With a larger team this season, we are still finding our flow and who works well together, while also giving players a chance. We are only two games in so we have a lot to work on and find out in the coming days and weeks. It was great to see Mackenzie Forsythe earn her first goal of the season, she has been working hard and it shows. Emily Caldarelli also a returning player assisting in that goal was great. Defensivley we had a great game and look forward to many more great games this season." said Head Coach Ed Muntz

Up next, The Wolverines take on Mary Baldwin in a non-conference match up on Saturday, September 7th. Match is scheduled for 7:00 p.m
