Wesley Drops Season Opener at Hood
FREDERICK, Md. - Wesley won once in doubles play and once in singles, but Hood College captured victories in all seven of the remaining matches for a 7-2 win over the Wolverines in their season opener.
The Wolverines won at first doubles behind Rebecca Pennington (Earleville, Md./Bohemia Manor) and Marina Palma, who defeated Jillian Elkaim and Larisa Buriak 8-8 (8-6).
Kori Isken (Wilmington, Del./St. Mark's) picked up a 6-0, 6-3 win at second singles over Christine Ocampos-Barry.
The Wolverines will look for their first win with a road trip to Trinity (D.C.) on Thursday, March 19 at 3:30 PM.
