FAIRFAX, Va. – A trio of Wolverines broke school-records as the Wesley College women's track & field team placed fifth at the Capital Athletic Conference Championships on Sunday afternoon at the George Mason University Fieldhouse.

Rachelle Allen, who was running in her first meet this season, finished fourth overall in the 60m Dash with a time of 8.23 seconds.  Her mark shattered the old school-record by over two tenths of a second.  Allen also took fourth in the long jump with a 4.62m effort.

Also establishing new school-records were Stevi Carpenter in the 400m Dash and Kerri Pagels in the 800m Run.  Carpenter took third in the 400m in a time of 1:00.70, besting her own mark by nearly two seconds while Pagels cut three seconds off the 800m record in a time of 2:33.30.

Allen's sister, Sharis Allen, also placed fifth in both the 60m hurdles (9.82) and long jump (4.57m).

In the shot put, both Damyra Price and Muriel Murray scored for Wesley, taking fifth and sixth place, respectively, in 9.95m and 9.51m.

To cap off the day, the 4x400m Relay of Carpenter, Twila McCrea, Taylor Lynch and Pagels took third place in 4:21.55.
