Wolverines Impress at Boston Last Chance Meet

BOSTON, Mass. - The Wesley College Men's and Women's Indoor Track and Field teams traveled to Boston University to compete in the Boston Last Chance Meet on Sunday, and showed well with several Division I teams.

On the men's side, Anthony Simpson continued to burn up the track, finishing with a mark of 6.86 in the 60m and 21.54 in the 200m. His 200m time currently ranks third in the nation among Division III athletes. DaJahn Lowery crossed in 22.61 in the 200m race. Carlton Sheppard finished his 800m race in 1:53.20. De'Vaughn Trader notched a 6.87m mark in the long jump. The Wesley 4x400 relay team finished in 3:14.64, which currently ranks third among all Division III relay teams.

On the women's side, Evelina Sloboh ran a 7.78 in the 60m. The 4x400 relay team finished in 3:51.20, good for 11th in the nation.

Wesley will run again this weekend in the ECAC Championships, at the Oceanbreeze Track in Staten Island, N.Y.
