Brown notches second ECAC South Rookie of the Week honor

DANBURY, Conn. – Freshman track & field athlete Jasmine Brown earned her second Corvias Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) South Rookie of the Week award in her career, as announced by the ECAC on Wednesday.

Brown picked up three top-10 finishes at the Johns Hopkins Invitational with athletes from all three divisions. Brown won the high jump with a leap of 1.60 meters (5 feet, 3 inches). Brown also recorded a third-place time in the 100-meter hurdles (15.15 seconds) and a sixth-place mark in the triple jump (10.95 meters, 35 feet, 11.25 inches). Brown has the fourth-best mark in the triple jump, fifth-fastest time in the 100 meter hurdles and fifth-highest leap in the high jump in the Mideast Region.

Brown was also awarded the ECAC Rookie of the Week during the indoor season on Feb. 1.

The Wolverines will compete in the two-day Capital Athletic Conference Championships at Mary Washington starting on Friday, April 21.
