Brown named CAC Rookie of the Year, Six earn All-CAC

YORK, Pa. – The Wesley College women's track & field team had six representatives on the All-Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) Outdoor Track & Field teams, as announced by the conference on Thursday.

Freshman Jasmine Brown was named the CAC Rookie of the Year after collecting three All-CAC honors, including two conference championships. Brown won the triple jump with a mark of 11.10 meters (36-5) and the long jump with a leap of 5.45 meters (17-10.75). She earned second team honors in the high jump, clearing 1.63 meters (5-4.25).

Senior Elizsha Streeter earned All-CAC accolades four times at the conference meet. Streeter was on the first team along with juniors Angel Hall and Ashley Morris and sophomore Briana Artis in the 4x100-meter relay. The team finished the relay in 48.61 seconds. Streeter then earned second team honors in the 100 (12.87), 200 (26.39) and 400-meter dashes (58.64).

Hall picked up an All-CAC First Team award in the 400-meter dash with a time of 58.19 seconds. Morris earned All-CAC Second Team in the 100-meter hurdles (15.08).

Monshea Newsome-Murray collected All-CAC Second Team honors in the triple jump. She leaped 10.77 meters (35-4) at the CAC meet.

The Wolverines will be back in action on Saturday, April 29 when they take part in the Lions' Invitational, hosted by the College of New Jersey.
