DOVER, Del. – Head cross country and track & field coach Stephen Kimes announced on Wednesday the addition of Wesley College alumnus Dylan Kaplan to the track & field staff, with a focus on the javelin.

"Dylan brings a tremendous enthusiasm and spirit to our team," said Coach Kimes. "I am very excited to have him back at Wesley and helping out our young javelin throwers."

A four-year captain during his undergraduate career at Wesley, Kaplan competed in the throws, specializing in the javelin, and the short sprints. In the javelin, Kaplan was a top-10 Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) thrower in three outdoor conference championships.

Off the track, Kaplan was a student assistant in the Sports Information office for four years. Kaplan also was a student ambassador during his undergraduate years for the Wesley Admissions Department and worked for Information Technology.

Kaplan earned his Bachelor of Arts in Multimedia Communications from Wesley in May 2017. He is currently pursuing his Masters of Science in College Athletic Administration from Northeastern University.
