BOSTON – All three Wesley College track & field national qualifiers advanced to Saturday's finals at the 2019 NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships.
Kai Cole finished first in the men's 60-meter dash preliminaries with a time of 6.77 seconds. Cole's time tied the school record in the 60 meters, which was set by Anthony Simpson at the 2016 NCAA Championships. Cole notched a second-place effort in the 200-meter dash preliminaries with a time of 21.66 seconds.
Evelina Sloboh won her heat to automatically qualify for Saturday's final and finished third overall in the preliminaries in the 60-meter dash. Sloboh clocked in with a time of 7.63 seconds.
Thomas Kalieta Jr. placed sixth in the 400-meter dash in 48.53 seconds. Kalieta just missed out on the cut for the 200-meter finals with a time of 22.16 seconds.
Sloboh and Cole will run in the 60-meter dash finals at around 2:10 p.m. Kaieta's 400-meter dash final will start at approximately 3:40 p.m. while Cole's 200-meter dash final will begin at around 4:25 p.m.
