Wesley Falls to Gallaudet

DOVER, Del. - Visiting Gallaudet handed Wesley a three-game loss in a Capital Athletic Conference match in Wentworth Gymnasium.  Game scores were 30-26, 30-13 and 30-23.

The two teams battled back and forth in a close first game, with Gallaudet (17-7, 5-1 CAC) winning the race to 30.  Game two was a different story, as Wesley (7-9, 1-4 CAC) found an early 13-2 deficit too much to overcome.

The Wolverines fought Gallaudet point for point in game three and trailed just 22-19 before a late run by the Gallaudet closed the match.

Lilia Brekke pace Wesley with six kills.  Nettie Choice turned in six blocks in the match, while Ashley Hearn added 16 assists.

Wesley has a short rest before a non-conference battle with Lancaster Bible at 7:00 PM Thursday, October 11.
