DOVER, Del. - Five players had at least seven kills as Wesley took a four-game decision from visiting Lancaster Bible College. Game scores were 30-26, 30-24, 24-30 and 30-17.
Three players, Lilia Brekke, Jacquelyn Gillespie and Lori Vorhees had 10 kills each. Brekke added seven aces, while Vorhees had four. Nettie Choice had nine kills and four blocks in the match. Sonila Doda checked in with seven kills and served up four aces.
Ashley Hearn matched her season-high with 32 assists.
The first three games were all closely contested, with the Wolverines coming out on top in games one and two. After the Chargers captured the third game, Wesley regrouped. The Wolverines leapt out to a 17-7 lead and never looked back, taking the game, 30-17, and the match, 3-1, in the process.
Wesley will play its third match in three nights when Capital Athletic Conference rival Mary Washington visits Wesley for a 7:00 PM match.
