Wolverines Climb to .500 Mark

DOVER, Del. - The Wesley College volleyball enters the postseason with an even record of 11-11 after a three-game sweep of Penn State Abington in the regular season finale.  The Wolverines made quick work of the Nittany Lions, winning 30-19, 30-12, and 30-12.

Fittingly, a pair of seniors led the charge on Senior Day at Wentworth Gymnasium.  Jackie Gillespie led the team with eight kills and served up a pair of aces.  Lori Vorhees had six kills and four aces. 

Sonila Doda also registered six kills in the match and had a match-high five aces.  Ashley Hearn set up 23 kills and had five of her own.  Nettie Choice added four blocks.

Wesley used a powerful service game to generate 18 aces in the victory.

The Wolverines are seeded seventh in the upcoming Capital Athletic Conference (CAC ) tournament and will face the No. 2 seed, Salisbury, on Tuesday, October 30.
