CHESTERTOWN, Md. - The Wesley College women's volleyball team fell on the raod at Washington College in the team's season opener in three sets.
Set scores were 25-23, 25-21, 25-18.
Carle Ax (Lewiston, Idaho/Lewiston) turned in a strong college debut with 10 kills in 13 attempts. The freshman also dished out seven assists and picked up six digs. Sophie Reed (Dover, Del./St. Thomas More) registered six kills, 20 assists, six digs and two blocks. Ashlynn Maloy (Bear, Del./Hodgson Vo-Tech) had a team-high eight digs.
Lauren Feeny and Alyssa Forget tied for the match-high with nine kills for Washington.
Wesley is back in action this weekend with the Greyhound Premiere Tournament at Moravian.
