Wesley Drops Pair at Moravian

BETHLEHEM, Pa.  - Wesley College dropped two matches by identical 3-1 scores on the first night of the Greyhound Premiere Tournament at Moravian College.

In their opening match of the tournament playing in Pool C, the Wolverines (0-3) fell to Cabrini in four games.  After the Cavaliers won the first two sets, 25-20 and 25-15, Wesley won the third set 25-18.  Cabrini, however, regrouped for a 25-19 fourth set victory to take the match.

The Wolverines dropped the second end of back to back matches to Swarthmore.  The Garnet won each of the first two sets 25-15, before Wesley took a 25-19 win in set three.  Just as in the previous match, the Wolverines could not sustain the moment in the fourth set, giving way 25-16.

With the two losses, Wesley will compete in the Silver Bracket on Saturday, September 5.  The Wolverines will take on Alvernia at noon, followed by a contest against Ursinus at 2:00 PM.
