Netters Fall to Rowan in Five

Glassboro, N.J. - The Wesley College women's volleyball squad continued its rough start to the 2009 season with a tough loss to Rowan University on the road tonight. The Wolverines fought hard to even the match at 2-2 after losing the first two games 25-20 and 25-18.

Consistent play from Lilia Brekke (13 kills, 34 digs) and Kristen Roberts (11 kills, 10 digs) helped Wesley win the 3rd and 4th games of the match, 29-27 and 25-23, to force a game five.

Wesley was unable to hold on to their much earned momentum losing the final game, 15-4, ending the match.

The Wolverine faltered with 36 team attack errors and a team hitting percentage of .069.

Wesley looks to a turn around this weekend traveling to the Garnet Classis Tournament hosted by Swarthmore (Pa.) College on the 12th and 13th. Teams include Albright, Cabrini, Earlham, and Wheaton Colleges.
