Wesley Falls at Cabrini

RADNOR, Pa. - Wesley College dropped a three set decision at Cabrini in the third meeting between the schools this season.

The Wolverines (7-18) led in the first set 9-8 after an attack error by the Cavaliers (18-6), but a service error opened the door for a five point run for Cabrini.  Wesley pulled to within two at 14-12 after a Sherona Kerr (Montego Bay, Jamaica/Dover (Del.)) kill, but another five point run by Cabrini gave the home team a 25-17 win.

The Cavaliers jumped ahead 14-5 in the second set and never looked back taking a 25-11 victory for a 2-0 advantage in the match. 

Back-to-back kills by Nettie Choice (Lewes, Del./Cape Henlopen) pulled the Wolverines to within four at 15-11 in the third set, but Cabrini closed out the match with a 10-3 run with for a 25-14 win.

Kerr and Choice tied for the Wesley lead with six kills each.  Kerr added a pair of blocks, as well.  Sophie Reed (Dover, Del./St. Thomas More) dished out 11 assists and had seven digs. 

Traci Beltz had 10 kills in the win for Cabrini. 

Wesley is back in action on Friday, October 16 with a road trip to Elizabethtown set for 7:00 PM.
