DOVER, Del. - Wesley College kept every set close, but Cabrini pulled away late in all three to sweep the Wolverines in non-conference volleyball action.
Set scores were 25-17, 25-18 and 25-19.
Wesley (1-9) led 5-4 in the first set before a seven point run put the Cavaliers (8-3) ahead 11-5. The Wolverines fought back and trailed just 20-16 before Cabrini closed it out with a 5-1 spurt for a 1-0 lead in the match.
In set two, Wesley jumped ahead 9-7 before the Cavaliers rallied to outscore the Wolverines 18-9 the rest of the way for a 25-18 win take a two-set advantage.
The Wolverines also had the lead in the third set 12-10 and later trailed just 21-19, but Cabrini scored the final four points to take the match.
Wesley opens Capital Athletic Conference action on Wednesday, September 15 at Mary Washington.
