  • Wesley Holds 2012-13 Senior Honors Banquet

    Sosthene Kapepula of the football team was named the Wesley College Male Athlete of the Year while field hockey/golf's Madison Leone and five-sport athlete Tristin Burris shared Female Athlete of the Year honors, it was announced at the Annual Senior Honors Banquet held at the Outdoor Amphitheater on campus Wednesday night.

    Freshman libero Meghan Marshall set a Wesley single-season record for digs but it was not enough as the Wesley College volleyball team dropped its season finale in straight sets (25-16, 25-18, 25-17) to Delaware Valley College on Monday night.

    Senior Cristina Marruffo led the Wesley volleyball team to a three-set (25-22, 25-15, 25-17) victory over Gwynedd-Mercy on Saturday night at Wentworth Gymnasium. The Wolverines move to 6-22 while the Griffins fall to 3-21 on the season.

    Wesley College’s volleyball team dropped a pair of matches at Wentworth Gymnasium on Saturday afternoon. Opening the tri-match against Goucher, Wesley rallied from two sets down but fell in the deciding frame (25-13, 26-24, 22-25, 23-25, 15-13). Kean defeated the Wolverines, 3-0 (25-16, 25-17, 25-21) to close out the night.

The Wolverines move to 2-8 overall and 0-1 in the CAC while the Seahawks improve to 4-1 on the season and 1-0 in league play.

    Wesley College’s volleyball team dropped four matches at the Greyhound Premier Invitational hosted by Moravian University this weekend. After dropping its season-opener to Ursinus in three sets on Friday night, the Wolverines were able to salvage one set later that night against Centenary.
