Volleyball Falls In Three

YORK, Pa. - The Wesley College volleyball team fell in three sets to Capital Athletic Conference rival York (Pa.) (25-23, 25-16, 25-15) on Tuesday night.  Both teams are now 3-12 overall while the Wolverines fall to 0-2 in the CAC compared to a 1-1 league mark for the Spartans.

Lindsay DiMuzio had a team-high eight kills while Alysha Brannon tallied seven kills and just one error on nine swings for a .667 hiting percentage. Brannon also led the squad with 1.5 blocks. Cristina Marruffo assisted on 21 of Wesley's 22 kills.

Defensively, Meghan Marshall led the squad with 11 digs.

York hit .256 as a team, led by Melissa Patterson who tallied an error free nine kills on 11 swings for a .818 hitting percentage.

Wesley returns to the hardwood on Saturday, September 22, when it hosts a tri-match with Goucher and Kean.  The Wolverines take on Goucher at 12 pm and Kean at 4 pm.
