DOVER, Del. – The Wesley College volleyball team fell to Capital Athletic Conference rival Marymount University, 3-0 (25-18, 25-19, 25-17), on Tuesday night at Wentworth Gymnasium. The Wolverines fall to 3-15 overall and 0-3 in the CAC while the Saints improve to 14-4 on the season and 2-0 in league play.
Jacquelle Boone led the Wolverines with nine points on five kills and five total blocks while hitting .214 on the night. Cristina Marruffo had a team-high six kills while hitting a team-high .333. She also had a match-high 14 assists to go with seven digs and two block assists. Lindsay DiMuzio and Meghan Marshall both tallied 11 digs on the night.
The Wolverines were outhit .180 to .051 on the night as the Saints hit .227 and .241 in the first and third sets, respectively.
Erin Allison recorded a double-double with match-highs in kills (11) and digs (13) for the Saints while hitting .400 on the night.
Wesley returns to the court on September 30, when it hosts Frostburg State in a CAC matchup at 1 pm.
