DOYLESTOWN, Pa. – Freshman libero Meghan Marshall set a Wesley single-season record for digs but it was not enough as the Wesley College volleyball team dropped its season finale in straight sets (25-16, 25-18, 25-17) to Delaware Valley College on Monday night. The Wolverines finish the season with a 6-23 mark.
Needing just two digs to tie Lilia Brekke's five-year mark, Marshall finished with a team-high 11 and finished the year with 434 digs. A native of Wilmington, Del., ranks third in the Capital Athletic Conference in the category.
Wesley hit just .134 compared to DVC's .255 and was led offensively by Sharis Allen's five kills. Lindsay DiMuzio hit an error-free .235 with four kills to go with two aces and three blocks to finish with a team-high 7.5 points.
