DiMuzio Helps Lead Volleyball To Split At Tri-Match

Lancaster, Pa. – The Wesley College volleyball team split a pair of matches at Lancaster Bible College Monday evening.

The Wolverines bested Baptist Bible 3-1 before falling to Lancaster Bible 3-0. Wesley improves to 7-4 on the season.

In the first match against Baptist Bible, Sharis Allen led all hitters with 14 kills while Arnelle Akakpo and Lindsay DiMuzio each had 12 and 10 kills respectively. Meghan Marshall had a team-best 23 digs while Samantha Weber added 18. Ashley Klein collected 40 assists which is good for second most in a single game in Wesley history.

The Defenders got 13 kills from Hannah Griffith.

The Wolverines and Chargers battled through the first two sets with the Chargers prevailing 26-24 and 25-22. DiMuzio added 10 kills, while Marshall and Rachel Hausler had 13 and 11 digs respectively. Klein garnered 27 assists.

The Chargers were paced by Katie Coomber's 15 kills.

The Wolverines return to the pitch when they travel to Staten Island on September 21st for a tri-match with Staten Island and New Rochelle. The first match is set for 2:00 p.m.
