Volleyball Falls to Marymount

DOVER, Del. – Arnelle Akakpo and Lindsay DiMuzio each had eight kills and Meghan Marshall tallied 18 digs but it was not enough as the Wesley College volleyball team fell in straight sets (25-14, 25-11, 25-18) to Capital Athletic Conference rival Marymount (Va.) on Saturday afternoon at Wentworth Gymnasium.

The Wolverines now stand at 15-7 overall and 1-2 in the CAC while the Saints improve to 16-8 on the year and 3-0 in league play.

Ashley Klein quarterbacked the offense with 22 assists while also serving a team-high three aces.  Sharis Allen also had a good day offensively with six kills on 13 swings with just one error. Tatum Jones was also credited with two kills and two blocks.

Wesley travels to Christopher Newport on October 15 for a 6 pm start.
