Wolverines Travel to D.C. for Catholic University Tournament

WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Wesley College Volleyball team will battle it out in four matches this weekend as they take part in the Catholic University of America Tournament. Wesley will battle host CUA and Pitt.-Greensburg on Friday and take on Bridgewater College and Shenandoah University on Saturday.

The Wolverines enter the tournament with a perfect 3-0 record after earning consecutive sweeps of Centenary, Ursinus, and Trinity to begin the year. In three matches the team has combined for 58 service aces, including 30 against Trinity in their last match. Codi Ziolkowski leads the team with 16 aces on the year while Lindsay Burg has totaled nine.

Tionne Graves-Brown leads the team with 27 kills in seven sets for a 3.86 kills per set tally. She carries a .531 hitting percentage into the weekend. Elisa Hackendorn leads the Wolverines' first-years with 13 kills and has totaled a team-high 14 blocks including nine solo stuffs.

With three wins this weekend, the Wolverines would match their 2014 start to the season when they went 6-1 in their first seven matches. Wins in all four matches would give the Navy and White their best start to a season in program history.
