DOVER, Del. – The Wesley College women's volleyball stumbled in three sets (12-25, 21-25, 17-25) to the Widener Pride in the Wolverines 2017 home opener on Wednesday.
Jessica Tynes, Tionne Graves-Brown and Tania Rounds each tallied five kills for the Wolverines. Graves-Brown had eight digs and two blocks while Tynes and Rounds collected six and five digs respectively.
Caelli Clifford dug out a team-high 10 Widener attacks. Lindsay Burg handed out 15 assists and recorded six digs. Nadia Hopkins blocked two attacks.
Nicole Dorman had a match-high 15 kills and 13 digs for Widener.
The Wolverines (6-3) will head up to New York City on Saturday. to take on the John Jay Bloodhounds and the William Paterson Pioneers in a tri-match. The Wolverines will open with the Pioneers at 1 p.m. before taking on the host Bloodhounds.
