Volleyball upended in four sets by Notre Dame

BALTIMORE – The Wesley College volleyball team was upended in four sets (17-25, 25-18, 23-25, 19-25) by the Notre Dame (Md.) Gators in a non-conference match on Tuesday.

Codi Ziolkowski and Tionne Graves-Brown recorded double-digit kills for the Wolverines. Ziolkowski tallied 14 kills and three blocks while Graves-Brown notched 12 kills and six digs.

Tania Rounds collected nine kills, six digs and four blocks. Elisa Hackendorn registered eight kills.

Lindsay Burg handed out 30 assists and added seven digs.

Caelli Clifford dug out a match-high 23 attacks while Jessica Tynes chipped in with 16 digs on defense.

Sarah Sweet had 18 kills and 15 digs for the Gators.

The Wolverines (12-4) will open Capital Athletic Conference play on Friday when they head to Western Maryland to take on the Frostburg St, Bobcats. The action is slated to begin at 6 p.m.
