Graves-Brown collects 1,000th kill against Salisbury

DOVER, Del. – Senior outside hitter Tionne Graves-Brown picked up her 1,000th career kill for the Wesley College volleyball team as the Wolverines fell in four sets (16-25, 19-25, 25-17, 15-25) to the Salisbury Sea Gulls on Wednesday.

Graves-Brown totaled nine kills in the game and collected her 1,000th kill in the fourth set. She became the first Wolverine to hit 1,000 career kills and also the first Wolverine to record 1,000 kills and 1,000 digs in her career.

Jessica Tynes recorded 19 digs and six kills. Nadia Hopkins and Codi Ziolkowski each notched five kills and three blocks.

Tania Rounds blocked five attacks, dropped in three kills and three service aces.. Courtney Olson tallied eight assists and three kills.

Lindsay Burg dished out 15 assists and dug out six attacks while Caelli Clifford secured 12 digs.

Nicole Venturelli had a game-high 19 kills for Salisbury 

The Wolverines finish the 2017 season with a 15-13 record and a 2-7 record in the Capital Athletic Conference.
