Volleyball stumbles at Salisbury

SALISBURY, Md. – The Wesley College volleyball team fell in three sets (25-11, 25-16, 25-20) to the Salisbury Sea Gulls on Wednesday.

Kaya Ziskay collected nine digs and four kills. Elisa Hackendorn tallied three kills and three block assists while Mary Getty, Regan Healey and Micah Wright each recorded a pair of kills. Getty added two block assists and a solo block. Teaghen Vogelsang dished out eight assists and blocked two Salisbury attacks.

Allison Mills paced the Wesley backline with 10 digs. Lindsay Burg dug out seven attacks and handed out three assists. Healey had six digs while Lexus Christopher chipped in with five digs.

Nicole Venturelli led Salisbury with 10 kills.

The Wolverines will take part in a tri-match on Saturday in Wilkes-Barre, Pa. against the Medgar Evers Cougars and host Wilkes Colonials. Wesley's first match begins at 11 a.m. against Medgar Evers.
