Burg, Healey notches double-doubles in four-set loss to Lancaster Bible

DOVER, Del. – The Wesley College volleyball team suffered a four-set loss to the Lancaster Bible Chargers, 20-25, 25-17, 25-14, 25-22 on Wednesday.

Wesley got out to a fast start in the match, picking up the win in set one. Lancaster Bible was able to rally to take the four-set win.

Lindsay Burg and Regan Healey paced Wesley with double-doubles. Healey tallied a game-high 12 kills with 18 digs to record her third consecutive double-double and fifth of the season. Burg dished out 17 assists and dug out 13 attacks for her fifth double-double of the year.

Mary Getty recorded six kills in the middle while Elisa Hackendorn registered five kills, four digs and two blocks. Jenna Burchfield had three kills and four digs.

Caelli Clifford and Allison Mills played well on the Wesley backline. Clifford notched a game-high 25 digs while Mills collected 20 digs.

Hannah Gipe had 10 kills and nine digs for Lancaster Bible.

The Wolverines will wrap up their week-long homestand on Saturday when they host a tri-match with the Cairn Highlanders and the Hood Blazers. The tri-match starts at 11 a.m. at Wentworth Gymnasium.
