Volleyball powers through Delaware Valley in straight sets

DOVER, Del. – The Wesley College volleyball team took care of the Delaware Valley Aggies in three sets, 25-4, 25-8, 25-21, in a non-conference matchup on Thursday.

Wesley came out the blocks hot, going on a 15-point run in the first set and a six-point run in the second set.

Regan Healey paced the Wolverines with her ninth kill-dig double-double of the season. Healey notched a team-high 23 digs with 11 kills. She added an ace, assist and a block in the win.

With her former team in the crowd, Dover High grad Micah Wright registered seven kills and four blocks from the middle hitter position. Mary Getty and Elisa Hackendorn each put down five kills while Nya Lightfoot tallied four kills. Hackendorn also added four block assists.

Teaghen Vogelsang dished out a game-high 17 assists along with four digs and two block assists. Lindsay Burg handed 10 assists and collected six digs.

Caelli Clifford helped the defense out with 16 digs.

Danielle McKelvey had five kills for DelVal.

Wesley (11-13) will resume Atlantic East Conference play on Saturday when they head north to Aston, Pa. to take on the Neumann Knights. The game is set for a 3 p.m. start.
