Burg registers ninth double-double of season against Neumann

ASTON, Pa. – The Wesley College volleyball team fell in four sets to the Neumann Knights, 25-13, 21-25, 25-20, 25-23 in Atlantic East Conference action on Saturday.

Lindsay Burg registered her ninth double-double of the season with a 16-dig, 15-assist performance in the four-set loss. Burg also added three service aces.

Regan Healey led the Wesley offense with 10 kills, her second consecutive game and 12th time this season Healey recorded double-digit kills. She also added six digs and two block assists.

Elisa Hackendorn and Nya Lightfoot each tallied eight kills and seven digs. Lightfoot added three service aces and two block assists.

Mary Getty notched six kills, five blocks and two service aces. Teaghen Vogelsang dished out 16 assists, dropped in three kills and blocked two attacks. Micah Wright collected two solo blocks and two block assists, along with a pair of kills.

Caelli Clifford dug out 15 Neumann attacks. Jenna Burchfield recorded seven digs and two service aces.

Melanie Malseed had 21 digs and 18 kills for Neumann.

Wesley (11-14, 1-2 Atlantic East) will be back in action on Wednesday when they travel to Arlington, Va. to take on the Marymount Saints in conference action. Game time is set for 6 p.m.
