FREDERICK, Md. - The Wesley College women's cross country team finished 12th as a team at the Hood Invitational on the school's 6,000-meter course.
Tristin Burris (Camden, Del./Polytech) became the ninth fastest Wolverine at the distance with a time of 27:39 to finish 27th overall.
Kristine Bailey (Vancouver, Wash./Evergreen) was 37th in 28:46 ahead of a pair of Wesley runners making their season debuts. Nina Cornog (Wilmington, Del./Concord) edged into the top 60 scorers with a time of 32:22 for 59th. Mia Brocco (West Deptford, N.J./West Deptford) was three scorers back in 62nd with a 33:10. Christina Moye (New Castle, Del.) rounded out the scorers for Wesley in 69th with a 36:08.
The Wolverines were 12th overall, but finished over 100 points ahead of the 13th pace team.
Catholic took the team title with 49 points, while Shenandoah's Roni Frye won the individual crown in 24:40.
Wesley was getting a sneak peak at the course to be used for the CAC Championship on November 7.
